Help
Below are some common questions about how to play the game.
Please note that the download versions and the web versions do not share the same save file.
What does game speed do?
Game speed effects how fast all time related events occur. At higher speeds your critter will get hungry and thirsty faster, but in return they’ll recover health and happiness faster.
Does time continue to pass even when I have the game closed?
Yes!
What game speed should I play at?
If you only want to interact with your critter once or twice a day, a lower game speed might be best. If you want to interact with them more often, a higher game speed might be best. Be careful when leaving your critter overnight at high game speeds. They’ll likely be grouchy in the morning and require a lot of attention. It is a good idea to make sure you have enough money to feed and hydrate them the next morning before leaving them overnight.
What exactly do I do?
The main aim of the game is to keep your critter happy and train them up for battle. See if you can make them strong enough to take on the final challenge!
How do I make my critter happy?
So long as they’re well fed, hydrated and clean, they will regain happiness over time.
How do I feed or hydrate my critter?
While on the home screen, the feed button is in the bottom right and the hydrate button is in the bottom left. If they’re very hungry or thirsty you may need to feed or hydrate them more than once. You can check how hungry and thirsty they are from the stats menu.
How do I check my critters stats?
From the home screen, click the middle button at the bottom. From there you can see various stats.
The smiling face indicates how happy your critter is.
The fork indicates how full your critter is.
The bubble indicates how hydrated your critter is.
The heart indicates your critters current and maximum health.
The arrow indicates your critters current level.
The hourglass indicates your critters current age.
How do I get to the home screen?
Press the house icon in the middle at the top. You might need to finish up what you’re doing on the current screen first.
How do I level up my critter?
From the home screen, select the weights in the top left. This will take you to a mini-game. If you’re successful in the mini-game, your critter will level up.
How do I earn money?
Through battle!
How do I enter a battle?
From the home screen, select the sword in the top right. You can press the arrows next to the challenge box to increase or decrease the difficulty of your foes. The more difficult they are, the more gold they reward!
I’m getting a message that my critter was injured. What happened?
They were likely defeated in a battle, or the game was closed in the middle of or before a battle.
How do I change settings?
You can view and change settings by pressing the little button that’s always in the top left.
You can also change the window size by holding control and pressing 1-4, and the volume by holding control and pressing + or -.
How do I start over?
From the options menu in the top left corner, hit the reset button. This will refresh your save file.
What does that pot thing on the home screen do?
IT’S A SECRET TO EVERYBODY.
